1950s "Billy" PEDIGREE Antique Bear with Label - £59.00
Dating to the 1950s, "Billy" is a 13 inch antique Pedigree bear retaining his Pedigree label to neck. Fully jointed with the early amber/black plastic eyes, original felt coated rubber? nose, good mouth stitching and non working squeaker in his tummy. Billy is very clean with good coverage of thick golden mohair (just a little balding to tummy). His velveteen pads have minor rubs but no holes. Billy wears an adorable hand knitted jumper and bobble hat which suit him perfectly!.

1940s Rare PINK "Bob Tail" British CHILTERN Teddy Bear - £55.00
This adorable character with very serious expression is the rare pink "Bobtail" bear, made by Chiltern in the 1940s (no label). 13 inches in height, he's unjointed with outstretched "cuddling" arms, original glass eyes, mouth, nose stitching and cute little bob tail at the back!!. His pink colouring has browned over the years but colour still pretty good at the back. He's lightly grubby with some mohair loss as you can see but no stains or odours. Non working squeaker in his tummy.

Large Old Irish TARA Antique Bear - Rare BLUE Musical Bear - SOLD
Dating to the 1950s - early 60s, this very hard to find blue Irish musical Tara bear has fully functional musical device which plays "When Irish eyes are smiling"!. 22 inches in height, he has thick blue art silk/plush although as usually found with this material there's small cloud of fur particles when he's patted!!. His eyes are replacement deep brown/black bulbous glass. I can see his colour is bluer in the joints so I'd say he's lightened up a little and is dusty/grubby with some fur rubbed areas. No odours of any kind, all joints nice and tight, and his music tone is lovely and clear. "Made in Republic of Ireland" label to one foot.
Large 1950s "Daisy" CHAD VALLEY Antique Bear with Growler - £162.00
Dating to the 1950s, "Daisy" is a beautiful large antique English Chad Valley bear (no label) with big friendly working growler in her tummy. 23 inches in height, she's such a wonderful "well built" heavyweight bear that she actually appears larger in real life. There's some bald patches to her golden mohair (mostly to rear), couple of minor little holes and light dust from decades of storage. Her large feet and hands retain their original velveteen pads, she has excellent nose/mouth stitching and original early type amber/black plastic eyes. Slight shifting to stuffing over the years has given her a little "slumpiness" to tummy and arms but overall good and solid, all joints strong and sturdy. A beautiful big old heavyweight Chad Valley bear for display who poses well in her old sheer frilly dress and matching "hair ribbon".

Early Antique Boot Button Straw Stuffed Bear "Elsie" - £129.00 (RESERVED)
This very early antique bear dates to around 1915 - 1920. A very "much loved" old character called "Elsie", 13 inches in height, she's completely straw stuffed with original boot button eyes and delightful long pointy snout!. After many decades of cuddles, Elsie's fur has all worn away leaving just the occaisional little mohair tuft here and there. This ancient old lady has lots of mends, replaced felt pads and claws, holes to nose and several seam repairs. Some years ago she was admitted to teddy bear hospital for proffessional cleaning so despite all her "war wounds" Elsie is clean and fresh!. Joints all very good and strong, she poses very well. Wearing nice antique outfit of camisole slip dress and ancient soft net gown (I've added the waist ribbon). Gown is pretty with nice ruffles to hem but has some tearing and fragile areas to the fine net.
1960s/70s "Big Frank" MERRYTHOUGHT Vintage Bear - HUGE!! - £115.00
This fabulous extra large vintage Merrythought bear "Big Frank" is a whopping 31 inches in height!!.. An extremely chunky heavyweight character, this is an amazing big old cuddly bear for display. Frank has excellent coverage of soft golden mohair with only light wear and dust from storage. Completely all original with amber/black plastic eyes, excellent pads, nose and mouth stitching. Very good extra sturdy condition for years, just non working growler in his tummy. Frank still retains "Merrythought Ironbridge Shrops" label to left foot pad (label partially detached)

Adorable vintage Deans Ragbook teddy bear dating to the 1960s/70s. "Little Richard" is 13 inches in height, a lovely clean ted still retaining "Deans Gwentoys - Made in Great Britain" label to side seam and jingling bells in his ears!. His fur is beautifully thick, soft and cuddly, just small area of weakness by his eye seam which has worn into a small hole. The original pads are immaculate, no holes or wear, a lovely vintage teddy bear for display!

1930s CHAD VALLEY Alpaca Antique Bear with Label - £58.00
The sweetest little antique Chad Valley alpaca bear with Chad Valley label to inner leg seam. He dates to circa 1930s, just 5 inches in height with original (lightly worn) felt ears, integral red waistcost, glass eyes and excellent nose/mouth stitching retained. The original brown felt foot pads have been reinforced with cream felt to the centres and there's a little colour rubbed from his waistcoat to back of head. His alpaca coverage is overall very good for his years, just a few areas of minor loss. A very clean antique British bear, no odours of any kind.

RARE Large Antique BLUE Chiltern Bear - 1930s/40s - £375.00
Very special rare find large antique blue Chiltern bear (no label) dating to circa 1930s/40s. 21 inches in height, he's an extremely handsome old blue bear, very sturdy with beautiful amber/black glass eyes (these are loose on their wires/possibly replacements?), original nose, mouth, claw stitching and pads are original too (all intact apart from tiny hole to one hand pad). His fabulous blue mohair has a very decent coverage for years although there is a little loss as to be expected. Fur is slightly bluer inside creases of joints so I suspect he may have faded a little over time but still has gorgeous blue tone to him. He has a growler or squeaker in his tummy which is not working. His stuffing is extremley good and sturdy, only the tiniest amount of shifting to upper arms but no sagging. All joints are good and strong although his old leg joints do creak a little when turned (bless!). Overall a fabulous rare piece of British bear making history, the blue Chilterns rarely come up for sale especially in this large size.

1960s/70s Vintage Merrythought Cheeky Bear - 14 inches - £98.00
Original vintage Merrythought Cheeky bear dating to the 1960s/70s. 14 inches in height, he's in lovely condition for his years, still retaining "Merrythought Ironbridge Shropshire" foot label and original factory ribbon (now frayed on ends). His fur is thick soft and cuddly, minor slight dust but no loss or odours of any kind. The original pads are very good, no holes or wear (any white spots you can see on hands are just stray tufts of fur). All his claws are intact and his ear bells still jangle too!.

"Albert" is an extremely handsome antique British Chad Valley bear (no label) dating to the 1940s/50s. 16 inches in height, he's fully jointed with original glass eyes, nose and mouth stitching (all excellent), chunky limbs and non working squeaker in his tummy. His long golden mohair is thick, clean and cuddly with just a few areas of wear and loss (mostly to tummy and arms). He has a couple of little holes to his original felt pads, the right hand pad is a nice old replacement in good keeping with the originals. Albert wears a smart vintage knitted coat with collar, button front and belt to back.

1940s/50s Antique PEDIGREE "Robbie" Old Teddy Bear - £69.00 (RESERVED)
Dating to the 1940s/50s, "Robbie" is a 19 inch antique Pedigree bear retaining teeny remains of his label to back seam. Fully jointed with the early amber/black plastic eyes, original mouth stitching but I'd say added nose stitches. Robbie has lots of balding but still a few tufts hanging in there!!. There's old mends/small holes to his paw pads and overall lots of "cuddle wear" but still a very handsome old chap who poses well. Just as found in his old velvet coat with playwear/fading but it's been with him so long he refuses to part with it!.
Original Old German Steiff Antique Bear - 7 inches - £98.00
So sweet!!.. this harder to find small size old German Steiff bear (no button/label) dates to circa 1950s. 7 inches in height, he's fully jointed and straw stuffed with excellent nose/mouth stitching and delightful big feet with claws!!. A very clean bear with excellent mohair cover, original pads (ever so minor marks to pads) and all his joints are good and strong. Non working squeaker in his tummy. He's a beautiful little old Steiff bear for display dressed in his 1950s knitted coat and bobble hat (outfit lightly faded otherwise good clean condition for age).

Dating to the 1950s, "Lottie" is an adorable antique British Chad Valley bear who still retains her (lightly grubby) narrow Chad Valley label beneath one arm. She's a gorgeous tubby little girl who actually appears larger than her 15 inches in real life. Fully jointed with original amber/black plastic safety eyes, chunky limbs, delightful big flat feet and non working squeaker in her tummy. Her golden mohair is cuddly and soft with only minor light dust and little loss. The original rexine pads are excellent with just light scuffing to hands. Lottie wears a very pretty hand knitted coat with mittens on a string and carries a sweet little handbag too!.

HUGE 1940s CHILTERN Antique Bear - VERY RARE 33 inch Size!! - £175.00
This magnificent antique Chiltern bear (no label) is a whopping 33 inches in height!!.. Completely straw stuffed, she's a real heavyweight character and so chunky that in real life appears even larger than her 33 inches!!. She has huge glass eyes and neatly enhanced nose/mouth stitching. This beautiful big girl has been much loved during her many years and has plenty of balding and old war wounds to show for it. There's also a few small marks and old mends to the seams. Her poor old rexine pads are now cracked and holed exposing the straw filling. Antique Chiltern bears in these mega large sizes rarely come up for sale so I was thrilled to find her!. She poses well in her vintage bathing suit and matching hair ribbon.

1950s Large PEDIGREE "Howard" Antique Bear - £125.00 (RESERVED)
Large size antique English Pedigree bear retaining partial label to back seam (the "Pe.." of Pedigree remaining). Howard is a delightful old character from the 1950s, 22 inches in height. he's fully jointed with amber/black plastic eyes, good nose/mouth stitching and velveteen pads with light wear. As you can see, Howard has lots of balding but his remaining fur areas are long, bright and golden. A lovely solid bear who poses well, he has a slight back hump and head sags slightly as he sits. Growler in his tummy no longer works. Howard wears a smart knitted waistcoat with button front.

Dating to the 1950s/60s, "Isabelle" is a lovely tubby British LEFRAY bear with fully working growler and beautiful big happy smile!!. 16 inches in height, she's all original with her large amber black plastic eyes, black nose and brown brush nylon pads (all excellent). She gives out a big friendly growl when tilted and still retains her "Lefray - made in Wales" label to side seam. Isabelle wears long vintage pink tie neck jumper and matching hair ribbon which suits her well!!.

1950s English Chiltern "Ting-A-Ling" Bruin bear (no label) with fully working jingling "Ting-A-Ling" mechanism. A seldom found old English Chiltern ted, especially with working Ting-A-Ling. As you can see he has areas of balding and couple of minor marks but overall good and clean for his years, no odours of any kind. 12 inches in height, he has excellent nose, mouth and claw stitching retained, original velveteen pads. All his joints are nice and tight, he sits and stands nicely.

Large size antique English Chiltern Hugmee bear (no label), a fabulous old character from the 1940s.22 inches in height. he's fully jointed with amber/black glass eyes and good original nose/mouth stitching. The original cloth pads are holed/darned but still have a few of the claws remaining. He has plenty of balding, especially to arms and tummy but remaining mohair is long and clean. Completely straw stuffed so he's a lovely solid bear but stuffing has shifted to arms making them a little saggy to tops. Non working growler in his tummy. A wonderful old Chiltern character who poses well and has no odours of any kind.

STEIFF BABY BEAR Blond 35 1946 Replica Steiff Club Bear For 1995/96 EAN 420054. This fabulous blonde mohair 1946 replica Baby bear is 13 inches in height and comes complete with original box, certificate and Steiff Club Medallion. Steiff button in his ear with attached tag. Still fastened into his box with the plastic ties, he's in immaculate clean condition, no odours of any kind. He doesn't appear to have a squeak although it's difficult to get the correct angle without disturbing his fixed position in box. Minor edgewear to box otherwise very good and clean.

RARE 1930s Alpaca Brown Chiltern Antique Bear - £120.00 (RESERVED)
The antique brown alpaca Chiltern bears seldom come up for sale so I was thrilled to find this very rare fellow!. Dating to the 1930s, he's a wonderful old Chiltern character (no label) with original orange and black glass eyes, good nose/mouth stitching (couple of lost stitches to nose) and remains of the original claw stitching too. He poses so proudly and will sit unaided. Arms are a little swingy and saggy where stuffing has shifted over the years and as you can see there's lots of balding to his alpaca mohair plush but the remaining tufts are a lovely soft milky brown. 16 inches in height, he has his original chocolate velveteen pads which are rubbed but not holed. He's a little dusty with age and area around his squeaker (non working) is grubby and worn into a small ladder. He has no odours of any kind. A wonderful harder to find early Chiltern character, only the second I've ever met!!.

1940s English Chiltern "Ting-A-Ling" Bruin bear (no label) with fully working Ting-a-Ling. A very proud and solid old Chiltern ted, 15 inches in height with original glass eyes, nose, mouth and claw stitching (slight wear to nose stitching). All his joints are good and strong apart from "head wobble" when he's shaken!!. Fur a little sparse and dusty, couple of small old mends to seams and his cotton and twill pads are very old replacements. Very smartly presented in professionally made pinstripe coat, with anchor sailor collar.

"Christian" is the sweetest little 1950s English Chiltern Hugmee bear with gorgeous soft fluffy blonde mohair and original glass eyes. 10 inches in height, he's fully jointed with excellent nose/mouth stitching, adorable "pointy feet" with nice finish retained to his rexine pads (just light expected crazing and outline from where his label once was). Non working squeaker in his tummy. This adorable little chap displays perfectly in his very smart soft knitted jacket with tiny cute buttons at the front.

Dating to the 1960s/70s, "Matthew" is a sweet old English Merrythought vintage teddy bear with Merrythought label retained to one foot and his lightly faded factory ribbon still around his neck. Matthew is 10 inches in height, fully jointed with super coverage of thick golden mohair, amber black plastic eyes, original nose/mouth stitching and non working squeaker in his tummy. Good clean condition for his years, he wears a nice vintage long knitted coat with button front.
1950s "Brian" Antique Old English Golden Teddy Bear - £65.00 (RESERVED)
Dating to the 1950s, "Brian" is a very handsome old English teddy bear who is 18 inches in height. An extremely sturdy chap, he's completely straw stuffed bear and fully jointed with delightful "square muzzle", original amber/black plastic eyes and excellent nose/mouth stitching. His original pads have light surface wear but no holes and the growler in his tummy no longer works. Brian has a lovely coverage of thick golden mohair and wears a rather fetching knitted bear jumper with hood.

Dating to the 1950s, "Frederick" is a handsome old English teddy bear (no label) with working growler in his tummy. 19 inches in height, he's a good, solid bear, fully jointed with lovely heavyweight feel to him. He has amber/black plastic eyes, dusty plush pads (small hole to one wrist) and excellent original "drop nose" and mouth stitching retained. Frederick has a lovely coverage of mohair, long and thick, light dust but no stains or odours.

"Martha" is a very sweet antique British Chad Valley bear dating to the 1950s. 15 inches in height, she's fully jointed and completely all original with glass eyes, rexine pads (surface wear to rexine but no holes) and non working squeaker in her tummy. Her fur has areas of balding but still a good thick coverage remains. Martha wears a delightful vintage knitted outfit of lace trimmed dress and hat. She retains her Chad Valley "by appointment to HM Queen Elizabeth" foot label and also retains her narrow fabric chest label (chest label is tattty and unreadable).

Dating to the late 1950s/early 60s this harder to find large size old English Deans teddy bear (no label) is an impressive 24 inches in height. He's fully jointed with original amber/black plastic eyes and working growler in his tummy. This fabulous big bear is in excellent condition for his years and completely all original apart from his felt nose (hard to notice as it was professionally replaced). Top of head has small stain to fur backing by one ear otherwise an extremely clean bear with superb thick golden mohair. All his joints are nice and tight, no odours of any kind.

Dating to the 1950s this superb condition old English Chiltern bear (no label) is 17 inches in height. Absolutely delightful larger size Chiltern chararacter, fully jointed with original early type plastic eyes and what's fondly known as "the dog nose", velveteen pads and fully working squeaker in her tummy!!. Her mohair is thick, soft and clean, she was obviously very well treasured to have remained in such lovely condition today. Her joints are all excellent, she poses beautifully and comes with her cuddly old long knitted coat which just has a couple of tiny holes. No stains or odours of any kind to bear or her outfit.

Dating to the 1950s/60s "Mr Grumbles" is a wonderful old straw stuffed Pedigree bear with fully working growler in his tummy and "Pedigree - Made in Ireland" label to back seam. 18 inches in height, he's fully jointed with amber/black glass eyes, perfect nose/mouth stitching and excellent chocolate brown velveteen pads. Mr Grumbles is in superb condition for his years with thick cuddly golden mohair and excellent heavy weight feel to him. No play damage or odours of any kind. He wears his original factory ribbon around his neck.
