Early 1900s Antique Kammer & Reinhardt 192 Doll - £595.00 (RESERVED)
Antique dolls in such fabulous original condition rarely come up for sale so I was thrilled to find this very special Kammer & Reinhardt mould 192 doll. Dating to the very early 1900s, she's 19 inches in height with perfect chocolate brown sleep eyes, all lid waxing intact, open mouth, pearly teeth, tongue, pierced ears (no earrings) and original dark blonde hair wig (lightly dusty). The bisque head is superbly moulded, no chips, cracks or hairline damage. The original ball jointed wood and composition body is of superb quality as you would expect and with it's straight wrists I'd say she was made for the French market. Light age related wear to the original paint/finish (mostly to ball joints), slight expected rubs to fingers. No repaint or restoration, all fingers and toes are original and intact. The original factory stringing has worn just a tiny bit slacker over the years but still strong and she still poses well. Exquisitely presented in her original cream mohair plush coat and hat set and full original cotton undergarments along with beautifully made vintage silky dress with fine lace trims and silk thread buttons, vintage crochet cotton socks (socks have slight age browning), smart lace up shoes and lovely old necklace with angel wings. She's marked "192 - 10".
Antique German AM 341 Dream Baby Doll - Tiny 8 inches!! - £75.00
This seldom found tiny 8 inch size antique German Armand Marseille Dream Baby doll dates to the 1920s. A sweet little baby wearing a delightful antique fine cotton full length gown with dainty lace trims, matching nappy and heavy cotton slip. She has tiny blue sleep eyes, pouty closed mouth and is on her original bent limb composition baby body. Baby has no cracks or chips to her bisque head but there's scratches to cheeks and minor little scuffs to hair colour. Centre seam to lower tummy has come apart and there's fine crack around "crook" of right arm. All fingers and toes are intact. She's marked "GERMANY AM 341 /5/OK ".

Antique German Armand Marseille 233 Character Baby Doll - £135.00
Dating to the early 1920s, this adorable little antique German Armand Marseille mould 233 baby doll is 9 inches in height. A well presented baby doll wearing her orignal outfit of fine cotton full length gown with dainty lace trims, matching bonnet and simple gauze chemise underneath. She's on her original good and sturdy "curved pose" bent limb composition body, only very minor wear, no repaint or restoration, all fingers and toes intact. She has blue sleep eyes (just a couple of teeny flakes to the lid waxing), open mouth, both her tiny upper teeth and original dark brown hair wig (this is short/sparse). The bisque head is excellent, no chips or cracks, she's marked "AM 233 A.8/0M GERMANY".

Ca 1900 Antique German Ernst Heubach (early Horseshoe Mark) Doll - SOLD
This antique German "dolly face" 14 inch shoulderhead doll was made by Ernst Heubach Germany around the year 1900. A beautiful early doll for display wearing her original white cotton and lace dress, slip, long lace trimmed bloomers and stockings (no shoes). She will also travel to her new home with her original red woollen over-smock and matching bonnet (just seen in photo 1) but smock is in poor condition with holes/old darns to back. As you can see she still has plenty of original garments and displays nicely with or without the damaged smock. The bisque head has light surface age dirt and tiny kiln dust freckle to nose tip (from the Heubach factory) but no chips, cracks or hairline damage. 14 inches in height, she has brown sleep eyes, open mouth, all her teeth and superb quality vintage mohair ringlet wig. She's on her original jointed kid leather body in excellent condition for years, I'd say the undergarments had never been removed before my photos, outfit has protected it well. No chips or cracks to the bisque lower arms, all fingers intact. She's marked with Ernst Heubach's horseshoe logo with mould no 1900 - 9/0".
RARE Antique 1920s German Bisque ORIENTAL Baby Doll - £550.00
Antique German Oriental baby doll, just as found in need of a good clean but such a fabulous rare character from around the 1920s. 10 inches in height, she has sleep eyes (loss of lid waxing visible when eye are closed), beautifully defined features and pouty closed mouth. The bisque head is exquisitely moulded, a few little scuffs to hair paint but no chips, cracks or hairline damage that I can find. She's on her original composition body, this is sturdy but as you can see quite dirty and showing some wear. There's small amount of old filler to one outer thigh and inner arm hook area (only visible when arm pulled away from socket) and a few chips to the toes. All her fingers are original and intact. Her outfit is old and tatty and looks child made. She's marked 2/0 Germany to neck.

Antique Deans Ragbook Old English Cloth Doll - £58.00
Circa 1930s antique British Deans Ragbook cloth doll with "Deans A1 Dolls Made in England By Deans Rag Book Co. Ltd London" stamp to back and sole of one foot. 14 inches in height, she has all original painted features with side glancing eyes and brown hair wig (slighty untidy) with integral sewn on hat. Body and limbs are solidly stuffed, she's fully jointed and poses well. Face has faded over the years, no odours but she's lightly grubby/well loved with minor wear/fraying to crease of neck. Dress has replacement buttons at the back and her white cotton knickers are new additions.

Antique Canadian RELIABLE Composition Doll - 18 inches - £80.00
Dating to circa 1930s/40s, this antique Reliable Canada composition doll is 18 inches in height. A very pretty girl with sleep eyes, all lashes and original golden blonde braided wig. As usually found with the antique composition dolls without repaint or restoration, there's some facial crazing, also a sprinkling of light crazing to body and minor paint wear around the joints. No play cracks, chips or odours, all fingers and toes are intact. She displays well in old fine knit cream dress, lace trimmed slip and long knickers along with original shoes and socks. Marked "Reliable Canada" to her neck.

Antique German 1920s VATSUG Composition Baby Doll - £85.00
Dating to circa 1920's, this antique German composition baby doll is 9 inches in height. A delightful little baby with chubby cheeks, beautiful painted feautures (small blush rub to one cheek) and pouty closed mouth. The original composition body is a very unusual type with metal device inside. This looks to have once been some form of mechanical mechanism. There's a hole under one arm which I assumed would be for a key wind but can see no evidence of this inside the hole. No repaint or restoration, there's separation to the finish at the shoulders and light age related paint wear but overall very good for years. The good quality hard compostion head has a few rubs to hair paint but no cracks, chips or hairlines. A very interesting piece of German doll making history, the Vatsug dolls rarely come up for sale. Wearing a nice little outfit of antique cotton and lace slip and vintage knitted coat. She's marked "VATSUG GERMANY 2".

Ca 1910 Antique German Simon & Halbig K*R Doll - 22 inches - £275.00
This large antique German bisque doll was made by Simon & Halbig for Kammer & Reindhart circa 1910. A very pretty girl of 22 inches in height with blue sleep eyes (no lashes), open mouth, teeth and replacement short curly vintage wig. The bisque head has a few scatters of kiln dust from her manufacture but no chips, cracks or hairline damage. The original chunky ball jointed wood and composition body is very sturdy but shows surface wear, crazes and paint worn areas such as the hands. There's old repair to feet and one underside little finger. Beautifully dressed in what looks to be her original dress along with long cotton pantaloons, cotton camisole and slip. Shoes and socks are more modern but compliment the outfit nicely. Marked "Simon & Halbig - Germany - K*R" to neck.

This very sweet antique German Armand Marseille "My Dream Baby" doll dates to the 1920s and is 12 inches in height. She has blue sleep eyes (minor loss to lid wax) and open mouth with no teeth. She's on her original composition bent limb baby body with surface wear to upper torso, small chips to finger tips and chipped toes to right foot. No chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head. Wearing cuddly old knitted outfit of white leggings, pink vest and coat, all good and clean. She's marked "GERMANY AM 351 1/2 ".

Large Antique German Porzellanfabrik Burggrub Baby Doll - SOLD
Dating to the late 1920s/early 30s, this delightful large size antique German Porzellanfabrik-Burggrub bisque head character baby doll is a lovely big cuddly 23 inches in height!. A happy faced baby with huge brown "surprised" sleep eyes, some of the original hair lashes remaining, open mouth, tongue, two upper teeth and original wig who's ringlets are sweet but tangled and untidy. Beautifully moulded chubby faced bisque head with a few kiln dust specks from the factory but no chips, cracks or hairline damage. She's on her original chunky composition bent limb baby body which shows wear to composition (mostly to rear), some crazed areas and worn areas have old repaint to rear. One underside little finger is partially missing otherwise all fingers and toes intact. Non working gauze covered mama device in her back. Nicely dressed in 1930s pink dress, white cotton full slip, pink cotton knickers, woolen socks and shoes. She's marked "Porzellanfabrik-Burggrub 169 Special 12 Germany".
Antique Armand Marseille 996 Baby Doll - 20 inches - SOLD
This absolutely adorable antique German Armand Marseille 996 character toddler doll dates to the late 1920s and measures 20 inches in height. A lovely chubby little girl with sleep eyes, lashes, open mouth, teeth, "tremble" tongue and original mohair wig. The bisque head a couple of wig pulls above one ear which is completely covered by the wig. No cracks or hairlines at all. A good clean baby with nice finish retained to her composition body, minor wear around head and limb joints and rubs to hands/fingers but overall excellent clean condition for her years. Wearing what looks to be her original outfit of delightful dress with attached little bag and ribbon trimmed bonnet along with knitted vest and cotton knickers. She's marked "Armand Marseille Germany 996 A9M ".
Antique German Bisque Walther & Sohn Doll - 24 inches - £195.00
Circa 1910 antique German Walther & Sohn bisque head doll, a very pretty big girl, 24 inches in height with brown sleep eyes, open mouth, teeth and original wavy mohair wig. The bisque head has no cracks, chips or hairlines. She's on her original wood and composition ball jointed body, very sturdy but surface age dirt, paint scuffs and areas of old overpaint (lower legs, ball joints and arm openings). One finger missing otherwise all fingers and toes intact. Her outfit is showing it's years a little but still displays well. She has socks but sadly lost her shoes. She's marked with Walther & Sohn's "W&S" logo "9".

Antique German Ernst Heubach Newborn Baby Doll - £175.00
Dating to the mid 1920s, this totally adorable antique German Ernst Heubach mould 344 newborn baby doll is just 9 inches in height. Completely all original in her beautiful outfit of long cotton and lace trimmed gown, full length slip and sweet little frilly bonnet. This delightful harder to find Heubach newborn was obviously well treasured to have remained in such lovely condition today. The bisque head has light surface age dust but no chips, cracks or hairline damage. She has blue sleep eyes which are slightly stiff to sleep but open and close more smoothly when head is raised a little. Her open mouth has both tiny front teeth intact and there's a sweet little "kiss curl" to upper forehead. She's on her original composition body in very good sturdy condition for years, outfit has protected it well. She's marked "GERMANY 344 15/0".

Ca 1890s Antique German Composition Schilling Doll - SOLD
Fabulous all original early composition German Schilling shoulder head doll (unmarked) dating to circa 1890s. An extremely handsome early boy, 19 inches in height with glass eyes and original blonde wig. He's on his original composition limb firmly stuffed cloth body, good and clean for years with old neat patches to upper legs and a couple of hard to spot repairs to fingers (nicely done). Wearing his wonderful original outfit of trousers, coat, matching hat, detachable collar and belt, socks and adorable leather shoes. As usually found with these early composition shoulder heads, there's a few surface cracks which have old touch up. His nose will have also been touched up over the years otherwise he's fared the years beautifully.

Dating to circa 1910 - 1915, this antique British bisque shoulderhead boy was made by Doll Potteries England. A very handsome boy, 15 inches in height with original painted features and deeply moulded curls. No chips, cracks or hairline damage to the bisque shoulderhead.He's on his original pottery limb body, good and sturdy for years but possible over-paint to limbs (may be just the finish as there's no paint smudges to surrounding cloth). Wearing his original Scottish outfit, quite simple in make but still suits him well. He's marked "DPCo. 154-8",

Circa 1910 antique German Armand Marseille 390n doll, 22 inches in height with blue sleep eyes (tiny bit squiffy!), open mouth, teeth and original soft hair wig. The bisque head has no cracks, chips or hairlines just small factory scratch through "390" inscription (from manufacture). The fully jointed wood and composition body has had restoration to it's surface and hands and entire body has been completely overpainted. Wearing antique pink cotton and lace dress, large bodied frilly slip, long cotton knickers, vintage socks and leather shoes. She's marked "Armand Marseille - Germany - 390n - DRGM 246/1 A7M ".

Antique Wax Doll in Original Outfit - 10.5 inches - £115.00
Antique wax-over doll circa 1890 - 1900, completely all original with solidly stuffed cloth body, composition lower limbs, blonde hair wig, dark brown glass eyes and closed mouth. The original outfit comprises of full length black velvet skirt, matching coat and hat, all garments lightly dusty and faded but no stains or odours of any kind. Wax-overs are typically crazed and cracked but I can only find a few light scratches and fine wax hairline by the right outer eye. The wax itself would benefit a light clean and there's rubbing to the eyebrows and nose tip. All fingers intact, there's a couple of teeny tiny nibbles to toe tips. Just as found, doll has no restoration of any kind. 10.5 inches in height.

This antique German Armand Marseille 996 character toddler doll is a gorgeous little girl dating to the late 1920s. 16 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, open mouth, both her front teeth, pierced nostrils ("breather") and nice replacement blonde wig. The bisque head has wig pulls to upper temple areas (hidden by wig) but no cracks or hairlines. She's on her original composition toddler body with some wear to the finish and repair to fingers and toes otherwise good and sturdy, nicely strung. Wearing a delightful outfit of flower print dress, matching bonnet with old cotton slip and knickers along with modern shoes and socks. She's marked "Armand Marseille Germany 996 A3M ".

Antique German Recknagel baby doll who's 11 inches in height and dates to the late 1920's. She has stiff brown sleep eyes (visible lid wax), closed mouth and wears an old pink knit dress and cotton "onesie". She's on her original bent limb baby body, over-painted at some time otherwise good, sturdy condition. The painted bisque head has a few tiny scuffs to the hair paint but no chips, cracks or hairlines. Marked "Germany NK 4 R 1 '/2 A".

Antique German Bisque Intaglio Character Boy Doll - £195.00
Dating to around 1910, this antique German "Baby Stuart" type character boy doll is 15 inches in height. He has wonderful detailed features, intaglio eyes and closed mouth. He's on his original fully jointed "broomstick leg" body in excellent condition for years, all fingers and toes intact (minor chip to one toe and thumb). The bisque head has a little ingrained dirt and couple of fine firing scratches from the factory (below one cheek and beside neck mould line) but no chips, cracks or hairlines. The mould number mark is very faint and tiny within the hair, looks to read 142. The antique cream wool gown looks to be his original, there's also a knitted "onesie" which is quite tatty.

Antique German AM Mulatto Red Indian Boy Doll - £95.00
All original cabinet size antique German Armand Marseille Red Indian doll, a lovely detailed boy complete with his two piece felt suit, leather belt, feather head dress, "blanket" and lots of cotton fringe trimmings!. He has the darkest brown set glass eyes, open mouth, all his teeth and long black mohair wig. The jointed composition body is excellent, clothes have never been removed and preserved it beautifully. All fingers perfectly intact. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head, he has super complexion and skin tone. Incised "20/0". Outfit also in excellent condition for years, no damage or odours. He's 7.5 inches in height.
