1950s Miss Rosebud Hard Plastic Doll in Original Box!! - £69.00 (RESERVED)
Rare find 1950s Miss Rosebud hard plastic doll complete with original box!. This very special Miss Rosebud doll has lovely colouring, perfect blue sleep eyes, excellent mohair wig and pretty roses to cheeks. There's white spotting to right arm and faded thumb/fingers to the same hand (this arm was lying in contact with the interior box staples during storage so is likely the cause). Apart from this storage flawing I can't really fault her, she's a lovely clean doll, no play or odours of any kind. The plain brown box has lovely providence, postage label dated 1958 from Dept. store in Kingston Upon Thames to a lucky little girl in North Yorkshire!!. Outfit all good and clean, no fading, just light fraying and there's no fastener at the back of dress. Doll is marked "Miss Rosebud - Made in England".
1950s Rosebud Hard Plastic Baby Doll - LARGEST SIZE!! - £65.00 (RESERVED)
The largest of Rosebud's 1950s hard plastic baby dolls at 17 inches in height. A good clean baby with fully lashed clear blue sleep eyes, slightly pale complexion and moulded curls. Just as found in cotton smocked bodice dress and soft pink knitted coat and bonnet with pretty lace features, someone obviously put a lot of attention to detail to this delightful outfit. Baby has no cracks or odours, just light playscuffing, rubbed hair paint and faint little facial lines above eyes. She has a non working mama in her tummy. A lovely 50s Rosebud baby for display, marked "Rosebud - Made in England".

Fabulous example of the 1950s brown hard plastic Rosebud baby doll, 11 inches in height with bright and clear amber sleep eyes, all lashes and lovely moulded curls. A very clean well cared for baby with rich chocolate brown colouring, no fading or play damage, just very fine little stress hairline line to back lower shoulder blade (common with the Rosebud babies) and usual non working mama. All ready for the sunshine to arrive in her bright yellow summer hearts print dress!!. She's marked "Rosebud - Made in England".

1950s Pedigree Delite black hard plastic baby doll, 10 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, all lashes and original blonde mohair wig (tatty and sparse). Baby has lovely colouring, full roses to cheeks, no fading or odours of any kind. Top of chest had fine hairline crack which has been neatly re-filled (see photo). Wearing a sweet homemade 1950s play suit and knitted vest, these have small grubby marks and braces need new press stud fastener at the back but suit her well. Doll is marked "Made in England".
1950s Pedigree Hard Plastic Smiling Walker Doll - SOLD
1950s Pedigree 16 inch hard plastic walker doll with big cheeky smile!. A very pretty girl with original saran wig (slightly untidy), flirty sleep eyes, all lashes and open mouth with tongue/teeth. Her eyes flirt beautifully from side to side, they're stiff to open /close but usually just require light touch or head raising to free them. The tin lids show light paint wear when the eyes are closed. Her lip paint has been professionally freshened up, she has light playscuffing, a few fine lines to plastic (mainly backs of hands) and non working mama. Her leg walking action works well and head poses nicely but doesn't turn in sync as she's walking. Just as found in adorable nursery rhyme print dress and knickers set which may be original but have basic press stud fasteners (rather than the doughnut type) and no label. Her shoes are the original lace up type but have a few splits, damage to eyelets and no laces. She's an unmarked Pedigree walker doll.

Baby is 7.5 inches in height, one piece body with swivel jointed limbs, painted eyes, lightly moulded curls and very worried looking expression!. His plastic is pale and there's light playscuffs but no cracks or odours. Wearing bright red knitted jumper and red/white polka dot knickers.

She also has an adorable old glass eyed pet poodle on a leash too!!, 20 inches in height, this is an outstanding high quality 1950s hard plastic doll, I think she's even prettier in real life!. Factory fresh colouring, perfect sleep eyes, full lashes and beautiful original ringlet wig. She's very clean with perfect complexion, no marks, damage, fading or odours. Outfit has minor wear/age marks but overall excellent condition for years. The American Artisan Raving Beauty dolls were unmarked.

Beautiful rare find 1950s Rosebud hard plastic 14 inch baby doll complete with original box!. This very special baby has been stored away all her life and was never played with. She has crystal clear blue sleep eyes, perfect hair paint and lovely colouring with beautiful roses to cheeks. Her plastic is good and clean with lovely shine, no play or odours. Slight colour uneveness to forehead where it appears a little darker and her mama is silent. Box is quite worn with a few taped areas but has preserved her well. These babies were sold without clothes, she would love someone to knit her very first outfit after all these years!!. She's marked "Rosebud - Made in England".

This very pretty unmarked "Saucy Walker" American hard plastic doll was made by IMPCO (Imperial Crown Toy Corp USA) in the 1950s. 19 inches in height, she has perfect sleep eyes, all her lashes, open mouth, teeth, tongue and original blonde braided wig (slightly untidy). A very well presented hard plastic doll, dressed in vintage pinstripe pinafore, matching blouse, more recent frilly knickers, shoes and socks. This delightful walking doll has light fade to arms, neat plastic repair to curve of one hip (see photo) and non working mama in her tummy. Her walking action works very well although she prefers support when sitting and standing. Doll and her outfit are clean with no odours of any kind.

1960s vintage hard plastic Amanda Jane Jinx doll wearing pretty pink modern mini dress and matching bonnet. She's 7.5 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, nice colouring and rather thin and untidy mohair wig. These later British plastic dolls were made from a cheaper, much lighter plastic than the 50s hard plastic dolls and heads are swivel jointed rather than strung (hers seems to favour tilting back a little bit). There's a separation to one shoulder seam otherwise good and clean, no play cracks or odours. She has no markings at all to her back.

Stunning all original example of the 1950s Roddy hard plastic "hidden mechanism" walker doll complete with original outfit and immaculate box. She's 13 inches in height with beautiful bright blue sleep eyes, all lashes and original glossy auburn wig (slightly out of factory set). Never been played with, she's clean and odour free with lovely colour/shine to her plastic and her walking action works perfectly. The complete original outfit includes dress, hat, knickers, socks and "Roddy" stamped shoes, all garments in excellent condition for years, just couple of minor storage marks to back of dress. Box is clean and damage free, lovely bright graphics and correct stock label to end corresponding to doll.

Rosebud's 1950s black hard plastic baby doll, 14 inches in height with brown sleep eyes (stiff to sleep), hard lashes and open/closed mouth. A lovely clean baby with nice colour and shine to his plastic, no odours of any kind. Sadly the crotch seam has separated by around half inch and area has been taped up. I'd say tape is to prevent legs being pulled up inside body so probably best left in place. Also there's tiny bit of filler to one shoulder seam, this is well matched so not immediately obvious. Beautifully dressed in 1950s knitted outfit of vest, shorts, coat, matching hat, shoes and socks. Despite his flaws, he's still an adorable Rosebud baby for display. Marked "Rosebud - Made in England.

1950s Roddy Walker 16" Hard Plastic Doll (in pink wool dress) - £35.00
Early 1950s hard plastic 16 inch Roddy walking doll wearing old pink woollen dress with integral lining (slightly grubby with age). A lovely chubby faced girl with sleep eyes (stiff from non use), all her lashes, open mouth, tongue/teeth and original mohair wig in pigtails (hair is full but untidy, pulled away from factory wig glue slightly to form pigtails). These early Roddy walking dolls are known as "floating head" walkers (heads and bodies are positioned with a gap inbetween to enable head turning action). Her walking action is excellent and she sits/stands nicely, Clean with no separations or odours, small nick of a hairline to rim of her rear (minor) otherwise very good. 1950s VOGUE GINNY Hard Plastic Doll - RARE Early "Root Beer Eyes" - £95.00
Extremely rare early 1950s Vogue Ginny hard plastic doll with the highly sought after "root beer eyes". Prior to the 1950s, the 8 inch Vogue dolls had always been produced with painted eyes. During the years 1950 - 1952, the company began experimenting with alternative looks for their 8 inch dolls including different plastic finishes and the introduction of sleep eyes with unusal eye colours such as this root-beer eyes Ginny. These rare early 50s dolls are known "Transitional Ginny dolls". This early 1950s example has the rare "root beer" sleep eyes (stiff to sleep) and nice high colour with small rub to one cheek. She's a strung doll, all hard plastic with original braided wig (untidy) and original labelled outfit (no shoes). Pedigree's 1950s black hard plastic "African Walking Doll", 16 inches in height with amber flirty/sleep eyes (lashes mostly all there but slipped back slightly) and original astrakhan wig. A clean and odour free doll with lovely shine to plastic, no cracks fading or odours of any kind. Walking action is good and strong although head elastic has slackened over the years so head does "bob" around as she goes. She sits and stands smoothly. Slight cloudiness to pupils and usual non working mama but overall a lovely example of the 1950s Pedigree African Walking doll. Wearing more modern dress and white cotton knickers, she's marked "Pedigree - Made in England".

Dating to the late 1940s/early 1950s, this British hard plastic RODDY baby doll is 13 inches in height. A clean and odour free baby with the early tin sleep eyes (these are stiff from non use), nice moulded curls, chubby cheeks and closed pouty mouth. No play cracks or damage, just usual non working mama. Wearing a handsome knitted outfit of shorts, jumper and beret, he's marked "Roddy - 13 - Pats Pending - Made in England" to back.

1950s Hard Plastic BND Toddler Doll - Blonde Braids - £45.00
1950s British hard plastic BND toddler doll (British National Dolls - London), 13 inches in height with fully lashed blue eyes and original blonde braided wig. As usually found with the strung BND dolls, head needs to be raised away from body in order for eyes to sleep (this is just due to eye mechanism catching on stringing elastic). Her plastic is good and clean, no cracks or odours of any kind, wig has a few dust streaks but still nice, bright and full. This toddler has no "mama" device inside, but still has the usual speaker device to her back as normal. Wearing a nice vintage knitted dress and white cotton knickers. She's marked "BND - London " to neck "BND Pats Pending" to back.

1950s Palitoy (Cascelloid Ltd) "Belinda" Hard Plastic Doll - £65.00
"Belinda" by Palitoy (Cascelloid Ltd) is a delightful classic vintage doll of the early 1950s complete with "flip up" waves to her mohair wig (now untidy). Belinda is 20 inches in height with blue partial flirting sleep eyes (no lashes or lid paint at all) and open mouth with teeth/ tongue. Palitoy manufactured these walking-talking dolls with interesting metal mechanism inside their bodies so the limbs were free to move without elastic, screws or discs. As with many Palitoy doll series, the bodies were moulded in two parts and screwed together, often leaving a gap between the seams and between head/body. Belinda has quite a lot of gapping also separation to crotch and shoulder seams. Her mama is non working. She still performs her hand assisted "marching" action with head turning from side to side and arms swinging up and down. No cracks or odours of any kind but light marking around tops of arms from sleeves of her dress. Wearing her original outfit which does show playwear but still displays well. Palitoy/Cascelloid markings to neck/back.

1950s Dusky Rosebud Hard Plastic "Girl Doll" - Rare Blue Eyes - £55.00
Rosebud's harder to find blue eyed dusky brown 1950s "Girl Doll Series" (marked "Made in England"), 12 inches in height with sparkling open/close ice blue eyes, hard plastic lashes and excellent black mohair wig. Repair to one side seam, minor part to shoulder seam on same side (see photo) and light scuff to one cheek otherwise beautiful clean condition, no cracks, fading or odours. Nicely dressed in vintage red print dress, lace trimmed cotton knickers, lace trimmed socks and Cinderella sandals, all garments immaculate condition.

1950s vintage Pedigree Delite "Grumpy" hard plastic doll, 10 inches in height with all her lashes, and original braided mohair (untidy). Grumpy's complexion is pale, there's fading to lower limbs and marks from wearing the original shoes all these years. One iris is cloudy, eyes are stubborn to open/close but work ok manually when head is raised. Her plastic is clean and odour free, she has no cracks, just faint facial line beneath one eye. Wearing vintage home made dress, white cotton knickers, sweet Faerie Glen labelled hooded coat, original shoes and socks. She's marked "Pedigree - Made in England".

Vintage Pedigree Delite Dusky Doll (transitional series) - £38.00
Dating from late 1950s to early 1960s this is Pedigree's "transitional" vesion of their Delite Dusky doll series with the hard plastic head and lightweight plastic (blown vinyl) body and limbs which are lightly scuffed (this material is more prone to scuffing than hard plastic). 11.5 inches in height, she has blue sleep eyes, all lashes and original braided mohair wig (untidy). A good clean vintage doll, slightly paler in colour and there's a black dot to top of nose but no cracks, dirt or odours. Wearing vintage outfit of dress and knickers (outfit has play wear and loose button). The Pedigree Dusky Delite dolls are marked "Made in England" to back.

1950s USA Virga Hard Plastic Walking Doll in Sunglasses! - £45.00
So sweet!!.. this 1950s American hard plastic Virga walking doll comes complete with original dress, knickers and those fabulous vintage glasses!!. 8 inches in height, she has sleep eyes, lashes and original platinum blonde braided wig (wig is nice and full but untidy/lightly dusty). No cracks or odours of any kind and her walking action works well. Couple of small "bruise" type marks to torso (probably from the original outfit) and only tiny remains of blush to cheeks. Outfit is lightly dusty and knickers discoloured. A delightful little 1950s walking doll for display. These dolls were unmarked.

1950s vintage Rosebud hard plastic baby doll, 10 inches in height with lovely shiny jet black colouring, bright amber sleep eyes (this baby series didn't have eyelashes) and nice moulded curls. A clean and odour free baby doll, there's a fine scratch from front shoulder to torso of around an inch (I think you can just see this on last photo) otherwise excellent condition for her years. Nicely dressed in vintage crochet outfit of dress and matching bonnet, along with knitted vest and white cotton knickers. She's marked "Rosebud Made in England".

1950s American Character Betsy McCall Doll (in polka playsuit) - SOLD
Dating to circa 1954 this very sweet original American Character Betsy McCall hard plastic bent knee doll wears original Betsy McCall outfit of polka dot playsuit and white strap shoes. 8 inches in height, Betsy is a very pretty example with clear blue sleep eyes, hard plastic lashes and original saran wig with both hair clips retained. She's clean and odour free, no cracks and her colour is very good (minor marking from the original outfit around her middle). As often found with the 1950s hard plastic Betsy McCall dolls, there's a parting to the crotch seam but nothing which hinders any movement at all. She retains her sitting click (a little stiff) and the knees still bend smoothly. She has the "McCall Corp" marking in a circle to her back.
1940s Rodnoid (pre Roddy) British Hard Plastic Baby Doll - £29.00
This is a very early British Roddy hard plastic doll, made in the late 1940s when the company were still registered as "Rodnoid" (they renamed the company Roddy just a few years later). 9 inches in height, baby is made from a smooth shiny form of plastic with blue sleep eyes (these have been re-painted), moulded curls and jointed arms/legs. Clean with no cracks or plastic odours, she comes just as found in her nice old knitted outfit of dress, bonnet and vest with white cotton knickers. Marked "Rodnoid - Made in England" to her back.

1950s Large Roddy Walker Hard Plastic Doll - Blonde - £45.00
1950s British hard plastic 21 inch Roddy walking doll wearing a lovely long lace dress and pink Cinderella sandals. She's a clean doll with good colour but does have flaws.. eyes are fixed so they no longer sleep or flirt from side to side, pupils have been touched up with paint and there's only the remains of the hard plastic lashes. Her golden blonde mohair wig has nice thickness but a little out of style with some lifting and there's old glue residue underneath. Her walking action works well and she sits smoothy but on occaision there's no standing click when she comes out of sitting position. No cracks or odours and there are no seam separations. She's marked "Roddy - Made in England" to her back.

1950s British Hard Plastic Black Walker Doll - (TLC) - £28.00
1950s British hard plastic 14 inch walking doll wearing a vintage polka dot dress (this has torn down back seam) and white cotton knickers. A harder to find British walking doll, thought to be from BND's "Sally Anne" mould. Well loved and much played with, she's lost one finger over the years, walking action no longer works and wig is worn and receded (glue mark to forehead from wig's original position). Also there's separation to one shoulder seam and tiny hard to spot chip to one arm opening. Her pale amber eyes still sleep well and have retained all their lashes. Non working mama in her tummy and finger nails have neatly applied pink nail varnish. She's marked "Made in England" to her back.

RARE 1950s Pedigree Delite Hard Plastic Baby Walker Doll - £75.00
Seldom found Pedigree Delite hard plastic walking baby doll dating to the early 1950s. 16 inches in height with factory fresh colouring, perfect flirty/sleep eyes, lashes, superb hair paint and pouty closed mouth. Sadly his walking action no longer works, the legs just swing freely but he'll sit and stand nicely. He has clean shiny plastic, just small scratch to one knee, fine lines to backs of hands and small digs to the mama grille (non working mama). Apart from some pencil type lines within the plastic to temples/sides of face (hard to spot with camera flash), baby has a perfect complexion and there are no odours of any kind. Knitted outfit suits him perfectly, all good and clean. He's marked "Pedigree - Made in England".

1950s American hard plastic walking doll, unmarked but most likely a Saucy Walker doll by IMPCO - USA. 19 inches in height, she has sleep eyes (these are a little set back), all her lashes and good quality replacement ringlet wig in pigtails. A good clean 1950s hard plastic doll with no play cracks or odours and her walking action works well (once she gets going!). Saucy has minor seam flaw to one outer leg, usual non working mama and complexion very slightly pale. Nicely dressed in more modern outfit with half slip, knickers, socks and shoes.
